domains

  I have already added my main domain http://www.panora.is (is for Iceland) to the blog and it is infact working but the address window always changes into the wordpress domain…and for some reason I can not add my own to the list of domains? do you have any solutions to this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  panora.is is setup as a forwarded domain and is not setup with domain mapping at WordPress.com yet.

  In order to get WordPress.com domain mapping to work, you must first set the name servers for panora.is to ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com and ns3.wordpress.com before you can add it to your Store → Domains page. Follow the instructions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  You need a zone record added before starting domain mapping.

  I checked the zone record, and it’s already there for panora.is. I should’ve mentioned that before. However, note that not all registrars require that a zone record is setup before updating name servers. The ones I run into most commonly that require that are .com.br and .ie.

  I checked this out and the thing is that I already changed to nameserver on it but according to isnic what needs to be done is this:

  “””Please generate or re-generate my Zone file since the domain must be active
  on the nameservers before it can be re-delegated. Also, make sure the TTL
  for the NS records in the Zone file is 86400 (and not 14400) since that is
  a requirement set by ISNIC, the .IS Registry.”””

  A zone record for panora.is already setup and the TTL for the NS records are 86400. Here is a lookup showing the NS:

  Does this meet your registrar’s requirement, or do they want additional updates for TTL other than for the NS settings?
