domains

Hello,
I had a Gravatar account and looks like an old WP blog from years ago. I just purchased mapping for my domain QArtsMedia.com. I was charged however do not see the site listed and the theme I selected is populating to the useless domain that I would like deleted all together (qartsmediablogdotcom). I would like a refund if qartsmedia.com cannot be added as my primary domain and the template updated there.
Thank you,

Hi there!
Themes and Domains are pretty much completely separate. I’ll help you handle both of them though. :)
Domain first!
I visited qartsmedia.com and the site that appears is not one hosted on WordPress.com. (Screenshot)
But to make qartsmedia.com point to your WordPress.com site, you’ll need to make one more set of changes, this time with your domain registrar. It appears your domain registrar is GoDaddy, here are steps on changing name servers at GoDaddy:
Following those steps, the domain’s name servers will need to be changed to the following:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COMOnce you save those changes, the DNS servers will propagate around the world and within 72 hours qartsmedia.com will point to your WordPress.com site for everyone.
Next up is normally changing your primary domain from the free URL to the custom domain, but visiting http://qartsmediadotcom.wordpress.com/ is also correctly redirecting to qartsmedia.com, since it’s set as your Primary domain here.
With that custom domain, no one has to see the qartsmediadotcom.wordpress.com URL but you, but this free URL cannot be deleted. The free site is how we serve all the site’s content, and this way if you ever choose not to renew the custom domain, all that information remains intact.
Next up, themes. :)
Your site is currently running Twenty Fourteen. If that’s not what you want, you can select any other theme you’d like from here:
However, on WordPress.com themes cannot be uploaded like they can be on self-hosted sites running WordPress.org. Please let me know if that’s the feature you were looking for, or if you have other themes questions.
