I just deleted my wordpress account and domain because I use Square Space. I had the domain laneysheehan.com and now it is unavailable for me to get at square space. I would like to chat with someone about what steps I can take to get my domain back. Thanks!

When did the refund request and upgrade cancellation take place?

Cancelled domains are not released immediately, but does through a process similar to that of cancelled domains. Currently your domain is in a grace period where we can still restore it from the registrar, and then you can map or transfer it to Squarespace instead. But in a day or two the domain will enter redemption, at which point you can only get it back if you pay an additional fee.
The other option is to wait for the cancellation process to complete which can be up to 90 days. During this time the registrar might also try to sell it at private auction – when you cancelled it you gave up ownership so the registrar can sell it to anyone else and don’t have to release it to the general public again, so if you decide to wait you run the risk of losing it.
