  Hi, I am trying to transfer my WordPress domain to another site. Unfortunately, I mapped my current site and when I was told to cancel it, it says that I can only transfer the domain after 60 days. I want to know if this can be undone sooner than 60 days as I need to use the domain immediately. Please help. Thanks

  Hi there,

  Note: It is only possible to transfer a domain 60 days after the registration date. This 60 day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived.

  However, until those 60 days are up, you can still use it at your other host by pointing the domain’s nameservers over to that host:

  I deleted my domain name off my blog by mistake so is it possible for it to be reattached? I made the mistake of redirecting it and that’s why the 60 day rule is there, not because I registered.

  I’ll be happy to contact the registrar to see if we can restore inthemidnightkitchen.com to your account, but I cannot guarantee that we will be able to get the domain back. If I am successful, I can send you a manual payment request form for you to repurchase the domain.
