  I don’t understand how to set up a domain for my new business.

  You can get started by figuring out which plan is going to be best for you and the business site. Take a look at those here: https://wordpress.com/plans/

  If you want to eventually use a custom domain I’d suggest upgrading to a paid plan. The domain price is included in that plan. The amount is billed 1x per year.

  After the plan is added to your account you can register the custom domain by clicking on My Sites – Domains – Add.
