  Is there a way to map a domain without buying a plan? It’s only giving me an option to purchase the $8 plan when I choose map domain and I really just want the free wordpress site with a previously purchased domain. I have two blogs through here that I’d like to do this too and I don’t want to spend a ton of money to do this.

  Hi there. For domain mapping you will need to upgrade to a WordPress.com plan.

  Mapping an additional domain requires a payment. Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain or either transfer or map one you already own. You can read more here:https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
