  Hi Im creating a new wordpress site for a client. They currently have a different website. I would like to create a wordpress site for them, but only go live when its ready. is this possible? If so how do I do this?

  You can build the site here and then add the domain when you’re done, either via a transfer https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/ or leaving it where it’s registered and just mapping it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
