  Hi, I need to submit this website as an assignment on Monday and it is not letting me launch my site becuase I need to BUY a domain. How can I launch my site with a free domain name.

  Hey there, are you running into issues launching?

  If you’ll start here, you should have an option to skip the paid domain, and then choose the free plan:
  https://wordpress.com/home/

  I have already made my entire website. I thought i chose the free plan initially but now its not letting me launch and no longer giving me a free plan.

  Hi there,

  When you first click the button to launch your site, it takes you to a new screen where you are asked to pick a domain for your site, yes?

  If you want to launch as a “free” site, you do not have to pick a name but can chose the last option to “skip purchase” instead.

  If you choose that option, are you able to proceed?
