  How can I transfer a domain I already own to my WordPress website?

  Hi there,

  There are two ways to have your custom domain on WordPress.com.

  1. You can map the domain to point to your WordPress.com website by updating the nameservers or the DNS records . The domain stays with your original registrar. The guidelines to do this are found here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  2. You can transfer your domain and have all future renewals and payments that have to do with your domain managed on WordPress.com. The guideline to do this can also be found here: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
