  I want to add my own domain (truther.org) to my WordPress site.

  What will happen to all the previous articles I have witten that have the old truthernews.wordpress.com address?

  If someone clicks on an old link will it take them to my article or will that link be severed once I have added the new domain name?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Nothing will happen to your existing content when you map your domain to your site.

  The domain name is like a road sign which points to your site

  “truther.org is over here —>—> (truthernews.wordpress.com)”

  Readers see the sign and not the underlying name.

  Or think of it like a name tag where you write your nickname. You are still “Richard,” but people know you as “Dick” or “Little Richie” or “Junior.”
