Domains

If I want to make my blog have the .wordpress disappear, all I need to do is pay to get a domain with WordPress, which is roughly $5.
But, when searching on WordPress.org I will have to pay $30 to transfer .com to a.org.
Can someone actually explain to me what the difference is between getting my own domain on .com is and getting a a.org blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well, you are not understanding it correctly.
What you need is $5 for the domain and $13 for domain mapping, which connects the domain to the blog. These costs must be renewed every year. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
Buying the domain name changes nothing else about your blog. You still have the same limitations you had before. You just have a new URL.

So, it won’t give me any of the benefits a .org site does?
So, with bluehost offering $30 per year, it’s probably worth the extra $12 per year. What benefits can I get that can be easily explained? I’m not good with coding or anything…

Hi! I worry because I’ve just bought the mapping and they send me the receipt but , firstly my page doesn’t show and second they sent me a receipt to my mail, but I don’t know where was charged the purchase because never asked me m info of my credit card while I did the process. I hope you can help me!
