Domains and Hosting?

    Hello,

    I recently transferred my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. The wordpress.com site is still active and the wordpress.org site is the one I am having problems with. Right now, it is hosted by localhost so I have no way to accessing the site but what I want to do is buy and domain and host this site so I will have a site that says http://www.healthableoldsoul.com. How can I update my hosting preferences and a domain before I actually buy the domain? WordPress.org does not work unless you have a domain. Can anyone help before I spend my money on a domain and mess up my site?

    I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, as your site is a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, there isn’t much we can do to help.

    WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/

    I would encourage you to post your question on the WordPress.org support forums. Lots of helpful people there who know all about setting up self-hosted sites.
