Domains and mapping

    Hi there
    I have purchased a domain http://www.streamlineculture.com. At the moment if you type that in the address bar it takes you to my wordpress account, https://streamlineculture.wordpress.com/ however I don not want the .wordpress to appear after the word culture. I had a look at your site and saw the mapping option if you already have a domain. If i purchase that for $13, will it resolve my problem. If not how do i go about doing this. Basically I want each page to not have the .wordpress. Thank you.

    Hi,

    You’re right! Purchasing the domain mapping option will resolve your issue. Once the mapping is done, streamlineculture.wordpress.com will automatically redirect to streamlineculture.com.

    I am also considering changing my current wordpress.com address to a domain name that I own. If I purchase the mapping option, will all my content still be as it is on my blog, just the address shown on each will change? Also, can I ever change the domain name back to the wordpress.com address should I ever want to?
