  i had an existing domain with Name cheap .com under ‘ rockwillswriter.com , about to expire by 26/9/2020, how can i retain the same domain to purchase package with word press?

  It is not possible to use your custom domain with our free sites (those can only use the “WordPress.com” address) but you can gain that option by upgrading to any of our plans listed here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Once you have upgraded you can transfer your domain from Namecheap to WordPress.com, and all future renewals will be managed under your account here.
