  Can abcd.wordpress.com be later transittioned to an abcd.com domain ?

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  Hi there,

  As long as abcd.com domain is still available, you can always register that domain for your WordPress.com site, and abcd.wordpress.com will forward to your abcd.com domain.

  To purchase your domain, go to your Domains page by selecting My Sites → Manage → Domains and clicking the Add Domain button at the top right.
