    You did not offer the name I wanted so I went and purchased it from another site. Now you are asking for money to change it. I am confused as I thought I could build website for free, even if I had my own domain name.

    The site I need help with is brynbach26.wordpress.com.

    You can create free websites on WordPress.com, however, if you want to use a custom domain, your site needs to have a paid plan. With a paid plan, you will be able to add a domain mapping to your site for domains you already own and make the domain primary so that your site loads at your custom domain.

    On a free site, it’s not possible to use a custom domain.
