Donation

    Hello, I’m trying to add a PayPal donation button to my page, but when I try to save it, the code edits on it’s own and the button disappears. I am also unclear as if I can add a plug in specific to donations. I have read many tutorials and am still unclear as how I should proceed. Thank you for your time and assistance.

    You cannot a plugin on WordPress.com. To install new plugins, you would need a self hosted WordPress.org site. If you don’t know the difference, check out this link.

    However, it’s still possible to add a Paypal donation button to your page on a WordPress.com site. I’m not sure why it is disappearing for you though. Maybe you could try out the technique that’s being showed in this link (Method 2 is for WordPress.com sites).

    Thank you both! @justjennifer, I created a thank you donation page and was hoping that the donate button could open paypal in a new window. Is this possible?

    Hello again, I’m not sure if it will work, but try adding

    target="_blank"

    to the link itself after the button ID number. You do need to add a space after the ending quote mark of the button ID number and before the word target.
