Donation

    We currently haven’t started a website design; however, we started one on Wix and it’s proven more difficult. Our nonprofit is built around our donations and we are trying to set up one-time and monthly giving. We had to work through Stripe and their third party to build our donation page, but both services combine to 6% transaction fees for all donations. Is it possible on WordPress to be able to make one-time and monthly donations possible AND to make it seamlessly integrated onto our site? Our former site has a really good donation setup BUT the design is terrible. What can/should we do?

    WordPress.com does not offer any built-in payment gateways or methods to collect donations.

    It is possible to embed PayPal buttons, if you’d like to accept donations that way. You can read more about that at https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/view-all/

    There are other donation options available to self-hosted WordPress sites (otherwise known as WordPress.org). To learn more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, take a look at http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
