Donation Widget

  We are a non profit looking to add a ‘button’ or widget for donations… Can I do that using this theme and a free site or do I need to upgrade?
  Once I upgrade how do I go about adding that or do I select a theme that has that option already? Do we need to create a website rather than a blog to accomplish this?
  Any advice would be really appreciated…

  You can add a PayPal button for donations to any WordPress.com site. There are steps for doing that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
