donotreply from wordpress contact form and gmail autoreply

  Hi WordPress.com team,
  When a customer sends an enquiry to me via contact up of WordPress.com, I will receive their enquiry in my Gmail inbox and the below is the From/To in Gmail:

  //quote
  from: (email visible only to moderators and staff) <(email visible only to moderators and staff)>
  reply-to: ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ <(email visible only to moderators and staff)>
  to: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  //unquote

  If I reply to this enquiry, email will be sent to ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’, which is no problem for me.

  I have many enquiries per day and thus I need to set up an auto-reply confirmation of receipt. I set this up by creating a Google Filter to sort out these enquiry emails, and then sending them a canned response. The thing is, when I do it, Gmail did filter the correct enquiry emails HOWEVER it sends the canned response to ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ instead of ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’.

  Therefore I would like to check with you if we are able to remove the ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ in our contact form setup so that the confirmation letter will be sent to ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ and sender’s email instead.

  Hi there, Not surprisingly this question has been asked previously. The reply from staff earlier, as I recall, was that it is not possible to change the donotreply email address from messages sent to you via the contact form.

  Do u know the reason why it cannot be changed?
