Dont Allow People To Comment

  I am going away for a while, and I want to not allow people to comment. I went to OPtions>Discussion> Then unchecked the “Allow people to post comments on the article” and clicked “Update Options” but people can still post comments. Please help me, I have no idea what to do.

  Unfortunately that option will only have effect on any new blog posts.

  To turn off comments on old posts you’ll ahve to go through every post and switch ’em off. There’s no way to do this in a batch.

  The only thing I can think is that you could turn on comment moderation. This means that no new comments will appear but you’ll have a full mailbox when you get back.
