Don't have option to edit permalink structure

Hello! I’m trying to remove the date from the permalink structure on my new blog. All of the instructions I’ve found say to go to my dashboard –> settings –> permalinks, but I’m not seeing the permalinks option in my menu. I have a business monthly account, if that’s relevant. Right now, my settings menu just offers General, Reading, Media, Polls, Ratings, Hosting Configuration, and Sharing.
Is this related to my theme? Anything I can do? Thanks!

Apologies! I forgot I had already emailed customer service about this, and received a reply. I followed his instructions (by adding my first plug-in) and it fixed the problem immediately.
In case anyone else is struggling with this, here was the email I received:
Permalinks are a feature that are available on Business and Ecommerce sites here. I can see that you do indeed have a Business plan but it appears that the site structure has not yet been upgraded from a free site to the Business one. This is why the option is not yet showing.
This upgrade happens automatically when you install your first custom theme or plugin to the site. If there are not any plugins or custom themes you are currently needing, I recommend installing the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin (https://wordpress.com/plugins/health-check/makechangenotnoise.wordpress.com). This is a useful plugin for troubleshooting issues with your site and can let you test changes without affecting the live site.
Once added, you should see the Permalink option appear under the Settings heading in the sidebar on the right.
