don’t know where to begin or how

    i created my account here years ago with the hope i’d somehow make use of it. i most likely have a greater understanding of “how to” than i realize but websites always strike me as a big jumble of confusing things coming at you at once and as a result i always feel intimidated and never did anything. but this account still exists. i have a website of my own that i created also years ago and never did anything with either. the name has personal importance and want to keep it. i wonder if i can somehow transfer that from there to here. it is not much but i want to maintain the name. i am wondering how i can combine that with what i already have here. my main goal is to have a place where i can regularly post my poetry. and most of all i’m hoping this can be accomplished in an easy way – at least to start so i can actually get started. i’m not necessarily interested in adding another site to my account here but to make what i have on that site here instead of there. thanks

    If you have another site on WordPress, you can export your content from that site and import it to your site here at WordPress.com.

    it is not much but i want to maintain the name.

    Can you clarify what you mean by “name” – did your other site use a custom domain name? If you still own that domain, you can use it here at WordPress.com by upgrading to a paid plan.
