Don't see Import from XML option

  Hello,

  I need to import my blog post from another host to wordpress.com. But there is no option to import from XML under the menu Tool | Import.
  The only offered formats are: Blogger, Blogroll, Israblog, LiveJournal,Movable Type and TypePad, Posterous, Vox, WordPress,and Yahoo! 360.

  My other host offers export to XML or CSV, but wordpress.com doesn’t list these formats.

  The WordPress option should then ask for an XML file – WordPress Export / Import is via an XML file format.

  @auxclass This was my original question, “Where should I go to get asked for my XML file?” There’s no Import from XML option on my dashboard.

  Dashboard >> Tools >> Import >> Click on the WordPress option – you will then be prompted for a file name from your PC – or at least I was a moment ago on my test site. Then browse on your PC to where you have stored the xml file

  Howdy! Upload your WordPress eXtended RSS (WXR) file and we’ll import the posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags into this site.

  Choose a WXR (.xml) file to upload, then click Upload file and import.

  Choose a file from your computer: (Maximum size: 15MB)

  This option works only for files that were imported in WXR format from another WordPress blog. My old blog was not created in WordPress, and I’m getting error during import:

  “Sorry, there has been an error.
  This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number”

  My XML is in RSS2 format.

  I also have my entires from the old blog in the CSV format. I wonder if anyone know how to import those to WordPress.org?

  You could ask over in that forum http://wordpress.org/support/
