Don't show gallery captions on page

  I am trying to add titles and captions to photos for a gallery page. I only want the information to appear on the slideshow or when you scroll over the images, not as text underneath each image. I have 28 photos in gallery (4 wide x 7 deep) and text underneath makes it look messy. Thanks.
