Don't understand hosting, can you help?

  I want to set up a website on WordPress.com using the Premium service. I purchased my domain from GoDaddy. The person who is designing my site (a template) says I have to pay GoDaddy to host my site.

  Isn’t that included with the Premium service? Wouldn’t I be paying double for the same thing?

  Hi,

  It depends on how you want to setup your site. You can either have it hosted here at WordPress.com, or you can have it hosted yourself at a hosting provider like GoDaddy (in which case, you need WordPress.org not WordPress.com).

  If you are having someone design a site for you, he probably needs some of the custom functionality that being self-hosted (WordPress.org) has. But, again, it really depends on what you want to do.

  http://wordpress.org/support/
  Just create an account there if you don’t already have one if you have more questions about self-hosting.
