Don't understand post format when embedded from Polyvore

newest post not rendering properly
Today I published a post (6/12/13) and it is an embedded image from Polyvore. I don’t understand the following items:
1) Why does the text wrap behind my right widget side bar?
2) Why does the image appear “stretched” until I click the title of the post which, when you hover, displays something like “Permanent Link” then when you click it renders properly and give you the options to share, comment, etc…
3) Now I’m concerned no one will ever comment on my posts if they don’t realize they have to click through to the permanent link to get all the options.Am I missing a setting for my posts? How can I get my new posts to provide all the options I see once I click through to the “Permanent Link”
Please Help!

Hi there, I’m not seeing any images wrapping around your sidebar or appearing stretched at this end, in Firefox. Could we try these things:
1 – Would it be possible to upload a screenshot to help in troubleshooting?
Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot, if you’re not sure: http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/
You can upload the screenshot in your Media Library so I can see it. Thanks.
2 – What is the title of the post in question?
Now I’m concerned no one will ever comment on my posts if they don’t realize they have to click through to the permanent link to get all the options.
Linen displays another link to the single-post view through a note like “2 comments” on the blog index page if at least one comment’s been added, otherwise you do need to click on the blog title to leave a comment. If you’re concerned about this, you may want to opt for another theme which works differently.
You might also want to ask the theme developer if there is any way around this. As a premium theme, Linen has its own support forum here:

Just let me know if you need further help.

I’ve uploaded the image to my media files – it’s ScreenShot016
I too am using firefox – my version is 21
Few things to note…
1) The color boxes should be square, not stretched diamonds as they appear in this image. The watch too looks stretched.
2) If this was the latest post – and was featured at the top of the page you can see that the thumbnails images below the big box and the verbiage would extended underneath the right sidebar. Just take a ruler and place it on the left side of the right sidebar and you’ll see it will eclipse some images and the verbiage from the “Color Crush” post. When you click through to the permanent link, these issues resolve themselves….but I’d like not to start off every post trying to explain to people the steps they need to take in order to read my blog in proper proportions.
Your insight is appreciated – Thank you – I look forward to your follow-up.
side note – I will reach out to the theme developers on the “comments” issue I’m facing.

Hi there – thanks for the screenshot and explanations.
2) I see what you mean. The layout of those small boxes is being stretched into the sidebar because of this piece of code, which was present in two places:
<div style="width:600px;margin:0 auto;">I flipped to Text view for the post and removed the width declaration, which was too wide to be displayed properly on the blog’s index page with Linen theme. The overlapping issue should now be fixed.
I’ll look at the other issue separately.

This was a similar issue as the other. Your image was set to 600 X 600 pixels, the width of which was too wide for the front page layout:

I removed those dimensions so the image now defaults to the maximum width that fits the theme, and the image is no longer stretching.
Just let me know if you need further help.

Thank you – however I’m going to be posting items from polyvore over the course of the blog…I need to understand how I can fix this everytime myself! I have it again on the post I did today…When you said :removed the width declaration: does that mean you just removed the 600px? Or did you remove the sting of code, as identified in your response earlier. I am freaking out. Please advise – I’m going to attempt and fix this myself. UGH

Yes, that’s what I did.
Before:
<div style="width:600px;margin:0 auto;">After:
<div style="margin:0 auto;">Just let me know if you have any other questions about this.
