I haven’t officially opened the blog as I am still tinkering with it. I like the Spectrum 2010, but I don’t like the Home page that appers to be hard coded so you cannot change the ugly and huge “Search not found”. I want to remove that page from the menu completey. how do I do that…i’m using visual not html. never have had any reason or interest in learning HTML.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The “not found” is there because you have no posts. The main page of the site will show your posts in reverse chronological order (newest at top). When there are no posts for wordpress to dig out and put on the main page, you get that error.

Create a post and publish it and that error will go away.

To get rid of the home page tab in the menu, create a custom menu and simply do not include it in the menu. That “home” page will still be the main landing page for your site though, even if the tab is not there. That tab is there so that people, when on different pages on your site can easily return to the main page.

The thing you need to understand is the wordpress is a completely dynamic thing. In other words, NO page exists as HTML until a browser requests that page. Then the wordpress and theme PHP script files generate the HTML on the fly as needed.
