Don't Want Polls
-
I don’t want polls. I am trying to change settings on my blog and can’t seem to do it without setting up polls. What gives?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Trying to put settings on Private Only. Can’t even get to the place where this is an option until, apparently, I choose something about polls. Wha?
-
To clarify, are you trying to set an individual page or post to “private”? Or the whole site?
-
Go to Settings->Reading and set the blog to Private there.
If you’ve got some weird pop up, it’s probably malware in your browser.

Ahhh, good thinking. That might be what they are referring to.

I have Chrome with pop up blocker so I find it hard to believe it is WordPress Malware? Does WordPress actually have some connection to something about “Polls”? I am in WordPress.com, also, so that means the entire wordpress organization has fallen through somewhere if malware is showing up on my dashboard settings.
Does that happen?
I want to set the whole site to private for the time being, not just one page or post.

If you want to show me a screenshot of what you are seeing regarding these “polls”, I’ll be happy to take a look.
Here are some screenshot instructions if you are not familiar with the process:
I find http://snag.gy/ to be very useful for sharing screenshots. You can also upload the screenshot to your site’s media library. I will be able to see it there.

From what I can see here:

You already have your site set to be private. And indeed, if I log out and visit your site, this is what I see:
