Don't want posts on wordpress reader
-
How do I control whether my posts show up on WordPress Reader? For now I would rather not have them show up on there when I publish them. Is thete a way to turn this off, and perhaps later on? I’m on the Premium plan
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I believe your only recourse is to make the site private or the posts private or password protected
https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/Public – The post will be visible to everyone.
Private – The post will be visible only to blog Editors and Administrators. Private posts are not visible in the Reader, feeds, or in any search. A post can be private without being password protected.
Password Protected – The post will be protected with a password you choose. Only those with the password can view this post. (Note: Passwords for protected posts will be saved as a cookie until you exit your browser. For maximum security, it is recommended to close the browser completely once you are finished looking at a password protected post, especially on shared devices.)
https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/Let’s ask Staff to assist you with sorting this out. I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

Thanks for the reply. I’m not trying to make them private. I still want them public, just not on the reader.

Yes, I understood that, however, I don’t know how to achieve what you want to do without using privacy settings. That’s why I tagged this thread for a Staff response. Please be patient while waiting.

Hi there,
If your site is on WordPress.com, your posts will appear in the Reader for people who are following your site. There is no way to prevent a published post from appearing for followers in the Reader.
You can prevent your posts from appearing in Reader Search, tag listings, and recommended posts for non-followers, by setting your site to hidden from search engines, but that will not prevent people who already follow it from seeing your posts and will also not prevent new people from following it – as long as someone knows your site’s address, they can follow it in the Reader.
Note that if you set your site to hidden like this, it also will not be indexed by search engines to appear in search results online.
