  i have a site with the domain name just want to build a new site and transfer it when the site is compleat

  Hi there!

  That’s fine to do. When being prompted to choose a domain, you can elect to simply use your .wordpress.com subdomain before transferring over your “real” domain. For example, if you’re purchasing a plan and get to the screen where you’re asked to choose a domain name, you can choose not to transfer in your domain just yet.
