don’t want to use categories

  By default, our blog says, under the title of new postings, “Posted by John Doe in xxxxxx” with xxxxxx being the name of a category.

  We don’t want to use categories in the blog. How can we get it to say just “Posted by John Doe” and delete the “in xxxxxx”.

  Sorry – that is the way the theme is designed. It looks like you can’t even hide it with CSS.

  All blog posts in WP.com will have at least one category. There is no way around it as far as I know. You can CHANGE your default category to something other than “uncategorized” but not eliminate them altogether.
