Why? Just because WordPress was started in the United States doesn’t mean everyone who has a WordPress blog around the world also speaks English.

I’ve suggested to support that it might be a nice touch if on the main forum page wordpress would give links to the non-english forums.
Of course this thread isn’t about wordpress so it should not have been posted here in the first place.

It is not because no one understands them that they don’t get answered.
None of us volunteers are here because of our expertise in medical problems. This is a technical forum for WordPress.com blogs. And that is what pornstarbabylon answered, referring the OP to Portuguese forums for wordpress. -

But it is a language problem – appropriate subject or not. I don’t speak Portuguese and can’t even recognize the language. Some I can recognize; french, spanish, german and I can even recognize textese. Those I can send to the appropriate forums (and in the case of textese I send them to facebook or TWITter). Languages that I do not recognize I can’t so they have to wait for someone who understands. I (we) can’t do a translation if I don’t recognize the language.
For all I knew the OP was asking about why his sidebar was at the bottom of his blog.

Google Translate has a detect language feature. (There are a few languages they don’t translate.)
That said, the translations are often too funny to understand, and to try to answer with auto-translation would be foolish.
