  Hi, The ‘.wordpress.com’ blog name I was looking for has already been taken but has seemingly never been used and has not been updated since Sept 2010. Is there any process by which these dormant names are made available again?

  contact the blog owner and ask them to transfer / sell you or whatever the blog URL – WordPress.COM will not help you for privacy reasons – look for a contact form or try leaving a comment on the site and see if they respond
