dotblog So I need a plan to use the domain I just bought? Refund me now.

  Bought a .blog domain from WordPress.com 4 days ago and expected to be able to use it by now. Only it turns out that, according to WordPress, I need to purchase a ‘plan’ to use a domain that I’ve 1) payed for the name and 2) paid for mapping.

  I didn’t see that while I was purchasing it and I certainly don’t appreciate the fact that I’m now either going to have to pay £80 or just forget about the £18. I prefer the latter.

  I want a refund and I will not recommend this service to anyone I know.

  Domain mapping is not done free of charge.

  Map an existing domain (one you already own) to your WordPress.com blog – if you already have a domain that you registered and purchased elsewhere. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  In my receipt it said that I already purchased Domain Mapping for £11 as part of my domain purchase. £7 for the .blog domain, £11 for the mapping making a total of £18. Or am I mislead by some clever wording?

  It looks like something caused our system to think your domain wasn’t registered while it actually was. I’ve added the domain upgrade to your account and everything appears to be working now.
