dotcom in URL
-
I am confused about what my wordpress blog URL is (ha! I can’t believe I’m asking this).
I think I might have somehow registered for motherhoodcult.wordpress.com AND motherhoodcultdotcom.wordpress.com. I seem to have pointed motherhoodcultdotcom.wordpress.com to motherhoodcult.com, but ultimately I don’t want both accounts — I would like to close motherhoodcultdotcom, only have motherhoodcult, and point it to motherhoodcult.com.
I can’t seem to login to motherhoodcult.wordpress.com, but I’m being told that it already exists. I am certain that this is my doing, but I’m not sure how to access it.
Please advise.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

motherhoodcult.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
sorry but you deleted the above blog and it is gone forever
if you have domain mapping you will have two addresses – motherhoodcult.com that your visitors see when the visit
then the base blog that you work in: (probably) : motherhoodcultdotcom.wordpress.com – a bit confusing – but you need both for your blog to work
-
Damn! I am such an idiot. Is it unredeemable? No way to ever ever get it back then?
Thanks for your help.

it is gone – but your domain mapping covers up the base blog so not a great loss – but yes I like the mapped name and the base name to match
you be welcome & good luck

Thank you again. One more question (I hope). When I go to motherhoodcult.com, sometimes I see http://cl.ly/image/1j000C0O3u2p and other times I see http://cl.ly/image/2X3D2w2E0P1l. Why is this not consistent?

Hi! Please see my last question. My blog only loads some of the time. When I go to motherhoodcult.com, sometimes I see http://cl.ly/image/1j000C0O3u2p and other times I see http://cl.ly/image/2X3D2w2E0P1l. Why is this not consistent?

Because you changed the site the domain name maps to. I see it mapping to the empty site.

Can you tell I’m an idiot yet? I am :)
Do you mind telling me, as if I was 90 years old, how I might fix this?
-
Sure.
It looks like the domain is now mapped to http://motherhoodcultdotcom.wordpress.com which has the contents on it. Don’t change anything. Just wait. It can take up to 72 hours for the DNS to settle down and go to the right site. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING. And certainly don’t delete anything.
