dotcom.wordpress vs. .com of my website

  hello, i recently purchased a .com extension for my website. it displays as a dotcom.wordpress.com, which makes no sense to me. Help to resolve this matter would be highly appreciated.

  You WordPress.com site is mapped to your custom domain: http://untarnishedtruth.com/
  That is the only address that your visitors will see when the come to your site.

  Your WordPress.com site’s name is untarnishedtruthdotcom.wordpress.com. If you hadn’t yet registered a WordPress.com site before purchasing your custom domain name, you were assigned a WordPress.com site based on the domain name you’ve chosen. Your WordPress.com site name will only be seen by you. You will manage it here:
  http://untarnishedtruthdotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin

  It doesn’t matter what your WordPress.com site name is, as it will only be seen as untarnishedtruth.com in your address bar.

  While you cannot adjust the custom domain name untarnishedtruth.com, you can adjust your WordPress.com site name if you choose. Here are the instructions:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
