dotnet domain

  I tried to sign up for a blog with a requested domain name (not the free one) with what looked like it would be _____”.net” instead it looks like I am the not so proud owner of _______”dotnet.wordpress.com”. Can I fix this this to get the regular “.net” designation rather than the spelled out “dotnet.wordpress.com” or am I going to have to scrap the whole thing? Help!

  First, check Upgrades -> Domains in your Dashboard just to make sure you haven’t skipped setting your primary domain.

  If the domain isn’t there, that means it wasn’t registered for some reason, but you can add it from the same place.

  Excellent! That allowed me to register the domain name I wanted. It appeared when I signed up as though it would was going to be automatic. Thanks so much for your help! I clearly have a steep learning curve ahead of me.
