Double Charge

We are getting double charged. We use Stripe for payment processing; however we see a woocommerce charge every transaction as well. How do we stop that from occuring?

  • HI there,

You’ve posted in the support forums for WordPress.com. We can only help with sites hosted on our servers.

If you’re using the WooCommerce Stripe payment gateway plugin, please contact WooCommerce support directly at https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/

We have been directed to this link but there is no area for us to contact anyone to get an answer to this issue. Hence why we are posting on this forum. Any suggestions?

  • Hi, we’d be happy to help you sort it out….

We have been directed to this link

By whom? If it’s a website that sent you here, can you send that link?

Also, does the link my colleague sent work for you?

Hi, Thank you very much for replying. This is the link we’ve found when googling “Woocommerce” help and “WordPress” help. We are a current customer and we sign into our account but the following page has no email address and no phone number to contact someone regarding these “Woot.com” fees. We are esentially receiving Stripe fees and Woot.com fees for every transaction, and we’re trying to figure out why we are being double charged or if someone could explain what these fees are for…

  • There’s 2 different versions of WordPress. This is WordPress.com, a managed hosting environment.

Your site is set up on the open source WordPress.org software, which is the other version. WooCommerce is installed as a plugin on that site.

Help with that version of WordPress comes from a different forum. It’s at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ and you need a login over there to post a question.

Help with using WooCommerce can come from contacting that team directly at https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/

^^^ Please try that and let me know if you’re unable to submit a request to the Woo team directly. They are the ones that can help you with this.

Otherwise, I’d suggest that you reach out to Stripe and Woot both directly to see what they can help you with.

Thank you very much! We will submit a question on the WordPress.Org forum. The Woocommerce link you gave is the same that the other 2 people gave above and we cannot find an email or phone number to contact them directly about this issue, so we have tried this with no luck.

How would we go about contacting Woot because when you google Woot it directs you to Amazon.

Thanks for the help! We switched from Shopify – a developer that we no longer work with created our site – so we are clueless on this new platform. For what it’s worth, Shopify had a good customer service platform.

  • Might be worth noting too that woot.com isn’t affiliated with WordPress, WordPress.com, or WooCommerce. Woot is part of Amazon. If you list on their site, they may be charging you.

  • Thanks darciemg. Correct. Liz must not have noticed the T.

Woot.com isn’t associated with anything WordPress really, so can you reach out to them directly, @nataliewooddesigns ?

Thank you all for the replies. We do not sell or are listed on Amazon so this is strange why we would be receiving a charge from Woot.com. Thank you.
