Double charge for renewal

    Hi,

I think I may have been charged for the same thing twice, Could you please advise?

I was prompted to renew some charges for the coming year, and there was a delay after renewing during which I think it renewed a second time when I tried to advance.

I had two very similar (but not identical) receipts arrive within moments of each other, (one is shown below) and then two charges for the same amount arrived on my bank statement, one on the third, and one on the fourth of November.

I did send a reply email the day I received the invoices, but apparently this goes to an unmanned email address. (by the way it might be useful to have a link and/or an email address in the receipt text for support, to make it easier to raise issues like this, I couldn’t find this page by navigating your website when I tried, I had to Google to find it.)

Can you please advise on whether this double-charge can please can be refunded?

    Cheers

    Howdy,

    Sorry about that!

I’ve went ahead and refunded one of the transactions. The refund should appear on your statement within a week.

Don’t hesitate to contact us again if you need anymore help. :-)

    Thanks Chris

Apologies if I missed it, or it got spam-filtered, but does your system send an email out when you reply to the post?

I got one when I posted, but the only way I found this thread again to read your reply was following the link in that email when I went to chase up my original posting, as I hadn’t heard back. (Which is a shame, as you actually responded quickly, thanks for that)

If it is controlled by a “notify me of follow up posts” check box, maybe that should be set on by default in the support forums?

    Cheers

    Peter

  • Yes, you’ll need to check “notify me of follow up posts” to get the replies via email, but making that default does sound like a great idea. Thanks!
