Double content

  Hello! The last post shows up on my blog on the home page twice, even though in the editor is fine. What’s the cause? That’s the link to my post: https://wegeweda.wordpress.com/2022/04/06/wiosenny-twarozek-z-tofu/

  Hi there,

  I have visited your site homepage, but for me the post you mention only shows once. I recorded a video of what I see so you can visit this link to confirm: https://d.pr/v/C9C6Rk

  Were you able to sort this out on your own, or did you need a hand still? If you are continuing to have this issue, I’d like you to try switching to a different browser to see if you have the same issue.

  I.E. if you see duplicate posts in Google Chrome, what happens if you view the site using Firefox or Internet Explorer/Edge instead? Same outcome?

  Hi, thank you for quick reply. I can clearly see duplicate content in your video. It’s not all about the title of the post, but inside the content. The same photo appears twice and the same content under the photo as the same, even though it is done correctly in the editor. Maybe I try to delete the post and publish again?

  Hi Agata,

  I checked your post in the editor, and I see you used the classic block to add your content. But the classic block is nested inside a group block, and there’s a second, empty group block in the post as well:

  Based on the HTML I see loading for your site in my browser, it’s those group blocks messing with things – the classic block isn’t designed to be nested inside other blocks, and generally works best if it’s the only block in a post or page.

  So edit the post, expand the block list (click the three lines top-left in the editor), and drag your classic block out of the group block so it’s no longer nested. Then delete the two group blocks and update your post.

  Let me know if that doesn’t fix things.

  Everything is fine right now. Thank You for your help. Since you add the new blocks function it is harder for me to publish a post. I think I will buy the plan soon to have more functionality like even if possibility to write my own meta title and meta description. Have a nice weekend, Agata
