Double link in navigation

  I was trying to create a link in my top navigation that would open a new window. Someone suggested that I place an anchor into the title of a blank page. It worked great, it created a link that opened a new window from my top horizontal navigation, however now I have two links one on top of the other. The link at the bottom goes to the external window while the link at the bottom goes to a new page. What did I do wrong? I’ve been searching the forums and google all week.
