Never mind. WordPress has made it impossible to reach customer support. In the end, the double payment simply extended the domain-connection coverage.
I would cancel this forum request, but I don’t know how.

As you mentioned, the Domain Connection subscription was renewed for two years as a result of two separate payments. If you’re okay with that, you don’t have to do anything else.
