Double posting to the Daily Post site

I inadvertently published my Daily Prompt posting twice on your site. How can I remove one of them? This is the second time I’ve done this by accident. It appears only once on my blog so I can’t figure out why it posted twice to yours. Embarrassing!

Hi there,
That’s pretty weird! I just did some testing, and I couldn’t get a double-post like that to happen. Can you remember anything different that you did when you wrote and published that post? (For example, is it possible you double-clicking the Publish button? Or did you edit the post after you published it?)
As far as I can tell it looks like it was maybe just a glitch, but with a few more details I might be able to figure out what caused it. :)

I’m pretty sure it was (this) operator error. Recently, I can only post by writing a draft and then correcting it afterwards as I can’t get the tools in the draft window…So I may have inadvertently linked both the draft and the final post. That problem can be solved by slapping me on the hand and telling me to get with the program. I’m wondering if there is any way to remove one of the links if I ever do this again. I feel like it looks like I’m grandstanding and trying to get more views by linking twice.
Very nice of you to take the time to help me deal with this, by the way. I take it you are volunteers.
Perhaps I need to open a new topic to ask this and if so, ignore my second request, but have you any idea why suddenly I am only given the option of writing a draft? The only things I changed before this started happening is that I changed my “Publishing” options. I had had Facebook and Twitter as my only options for posting and added something else. After that, i could only write in draft form. Need to look to see what I added, and perhaps that has nothing to do with my problem, but I’ll lose this posting if I check now, so I will get back to you or open a new topic if that is best. Ah–it was Google that I added to my publicize list. Since then, it will only let me make my initial posting as a draft (and so no tools available such as centering, changing type face, establishing a link, etc.) Could the two be linked or is it just coincidence?

That’s very strange. So I take it that when you’re publishing a new post, the toolbar doesn’t appear and you’re only able to see the “Save Draft” button? If you can please go to Posts -> Add New in your admin panel to create a new post:

And take a screenshot of the entire page, that would help me investigate the problem.
Additionally, can you tell me which articles on the Daily Post are your pingbacks appearing twice?
