  Please HELP!!!

  I made the awful mistake of taking the site’s advice and installing the double verification process. I thought this was making my account more secure yet it’s made my account impossible to access!!! I have disabled this but I still cannot access my account on my mobile device. Can you PLEASE take this off my account?

  I highly recommend that you do not suggest this feature to ANYONE.

  Hi Brad – I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with two-step authentication. Are you able to log into your account currently? If so, you can disable two-step by following these instructions:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/#disabling-two-factor-authentication

  If that does not help, can you please provide a bit more detail about where you’re getting stuck and what you’re seeing on your end? I’m happy to help you figure it out.

  THIS DOUBLE VERIFICATION IS AWFUL!!!!!!!! EVERY TIME I LOG IN I NEED A NEW CODE AND EVERY TIME I DISABLE IT IT RE-ENABLES. I CAN’T REACH ANYONE THROUGH HERE. WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO REACH SOMEONE??????? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE PERMANENTLY REMOVE THIS ATROCIOUS DOUBLE VERIFICATION FROM MY ACCOUNT?????

  I am WordPress.com staff, however, and I’m happy to help you figure this out. I can’t turn it off for you, but I will help you turn it off. Please go here:
  https://wordpress.com/settings/security/

  There, please click ‘disable.’ After clicking disable, please enter one last code generated by the Google Authenticator app in the provided field as shown in this screenshot:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/#disabling-two-factor-authentication

  Then, click Disable once more next to where you entered the code, and two-factor will be turned off. Please let me know if you have any trouble with this – let me know which step isn’t working and what happens when you try to follow it.

  This does not work. after I enter the code, it restarts a loop to enable the set up again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN DEACTIVATE THIS?!?!?!?!?

  You can upload it to your blog’s Media Library and I can look at it there.
