  Hi there,

  Here is a link to everything you need to know about audio files.

  If you want to upload music files to your WordPress.com account, you’ll need to upgrade to either a WordPress.com Premium or WordPress.com Business plan. Otherwise, you’ll have to find a file link that is hosted somewhere else, or upload your music to another web host.
  
  The Cliffnotes Version of the Help Document:
  Embed audio from a link in a page or a blog post
  Add a link from your site to an outside audio file. Either upload an .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav file to a third-party server and link to it using our audio shortcode, or if you found an audio file elsewhere online, simply copy its URL.

  Note: If your current browser does not support HTML5 audio for your uploaded format, or Flash Player is not installed, a direct download link will be displayed instead of the player.
