Downgrade account for refund while awaiting 60 day domain transfer window

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi!

Am I able to downgrade my WP account and get a refund for annual subscription within the 30 day period, but still keep domains connected to my site in order to wait out the 60 day period to domains to another host? What if I have a google admin account associated with one of the domains?

    Thank you!

    Hi there!

Please note that the refund period for a yearly plan is 14 days, not 30 days. Also, if you register a domain, the refund period for the domain is 96 hours. That means no refund will be issued for domain registrations older than 96 hours.

You can cancel just the WordPress.com plan to get a partial refund. We’ll keep the price of the domain registrations. Your domains will remain active, and you can point them to an external host/transfer to another registrar after 60 days.

Having said that, we’d love to have your site on WordPress.com. Would you mind telling us why you’re considering canceling your WordPress.com plan? Feel free to tell us more about your site goals so that we can understand your site requirements and suggest the best way to build it on WordPress.com.
