Downgrade an admin user to another role.

I’m a wordpress.com blog administrator. I need to downgrade the founder admin to another role.
When i try this is the message “You can’t edit that user”.
Please Help.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

you can’t downgrade the blog owner – only they can downgrade themselves – or they can transfer the blog ownership to you and that will remove them completely from the blog and you can add them back at a lesser roll
