i have a premium site. Can I downgrade the site?

“You can turn off automatic renewal for your domain name or plan by choosing the option to cancel on the Purchase page. If your domain name or plan is outside of our refund window then it will stay active until its expiration date and you will not be automatically charged for its renewal.”

How do I downgrade from the premium plan to the personal plan?
I have a domain name that I purchased as part of the premium plan so I don’t want to interrupt that by canceling and getting a new plan (personal plan includes a domain name so changing to personal plan should not be a problem with regard to domain name). -

I believe someone on Staff would have to assist if either of you are sure you wish to downgrade your account. I know that it is possible, just don’t believe that’s an option you can take care of yourself. If you were to let your plan expire and not renew, then it would just go to the free version.
I will add the modlook tag so that someone on Staff can provide a definitive answer and what choices you both may have.

@hirosakinozomi you can cancel the plan, keep the domain, and then get the other plan. Or we can do it for you.
Just note when you downgrade, you’ll lose your Custom Design options, so your custom CSS and custom colors will be gone. Is that fine?

Is keeping the domain automatic, even though it’s not included in the free plan I would briefly have? My subscription is up for renewal on the 29th Sep so I want to change it before then.
I’m fine with losing my custom design options.Many thanks.

@hirosakinozomi we won’t cancel the domain for you unless you explicitly ask. So yes you can keep it. Would you like me to downgrade this for you?

I just checked the account and it still says ‘premium’ account. Also I was charged for the premium plan on 29th, will the refund come through in the next week or so?

I would like to do this same thing for my site, blondesense702.com I do not need the Premium plan any longer as my domain is pointed to another site now, but need to keep the custom domain so I would like to downgrade to the Personal plan before expiry on December 5th. Should I remove the Premium plan first and then purchase the Personal? Will my domain be interrupted by doing this?

If you could downgrade to Personal for me now that would be great, then I can input new payment information before December 5th for the Personal Plan to renew?
