Downgrade plan from Premium to Personal
-
Hi,
My current premium plan for macleanpcc.nz will renew on 7 June. However, I want to downgrade it to a Personal plan as I don’t need the extra business options in the Premium plan.
How do I do that?
Cheers

Hi iainmaxx,
To downgrade your plan, I believe you can go to your dashboard:
My Sites > Plan > then find the button Manage Plan
then on the next page you can click “Cancel Subscription”
Another way to change your plan is by chatting with the representatives/Happiness Engineer – you can contact via https://wordpress.com/help/contact
Hope this helps!

Hi natalixia
I did see that option, but assumed the plan would revert to Free and drop my custom domain, and I would have to purchase the Personal plan and add the custom domain back in. I was hoping there was a more straightforward route than that. But, you’re right, it’s possibly the easiest way to do it.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Iain,
I’ve disabled auto-renew on your premium plan for now so it won’t renew automatically and charge you $96.
Once June is here, contact live chat support at https://wordpress.com/help/contact, and we can switch it out with the Personal Plan at that point. That way you still have use of Premium until your current plan expires.
Or if you prefer I can also make the switch for you now already. Just let me know.
Please tag threads about renewing, downgrading, or expired upgrades for staff.

No problem. I’ve switched that site to the Personal Plan for you.
Please go to the Purchases page at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/ and add a new payment method to re-enable auto-renew, and you should be all set.
